Our origin story

Back in the 1990s, Parcelhero’s founder, Roger Sumner-Rivers, took a temporary job as a bike courier, navigating London’s busy streets. Soon Roger was asked if he could help with sales. He quickly found he had a talent for saving customers money on their parcels. In 2009, as the internet took off, Roger used this experience to launch the aptly named Parcelhero. We’ve been fighting to get customers the best deals ever since. Parcelhero, and our sister company Parcelcompare, have featured in the FT1000 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies four times between 2019 and 2024. Things have gone well since Roger first got on his bike!
